Formed in 2013. Funk Engine are a Sydney jazz-funk band that combine tight funk grooves. Their influences include Herbie Hancock, James Brown, Lettuce, Weather Report, Steve Hunter and the Subterraneans. They are play regularly on the Sydney circuit and have appeared in festivals such as Regrowth, The Sydney International Women's Jazz festival and VIVID.
